I optimistically begin looking for Tamarillos in the middle of March eagerly awaiting that first mouthful of the season.
The Oakridge Tamarillos are my favourite type because whatever variety they are, they have a goodly amount of sweetness and tartness to them.
Nice with a sprinkling of black pepper to bring out the flavour.
(I enjoy them with salt and pepper, but not too much salt these days.)
I have been in Tamarillo heaven.
