Tamarillos
Once known as the "tree tomato", tamarillos are an intense mix of tangy, sweet flesh with a jelly and seed centre, similar to a tomato or feijoa. While they originated in South America, the red tamarillo was cultivated in New Zealand and has been a firm favourite for decades.
Poach, fry, grill, bake or turn into a beautiful chutney or relish. Or simply cut it in half and eat the juicy pulp with a little brown sugar.
Our tamarillos are picked at the peak of ripeness, then packed and delivered to you - from tree to door in just a day or two.
